With the release of the new The Sims 4 expansion, Get to Work, they introduced a new skill for your sims: baking. I love baking and the list of recipes added to the game made my mouth water. There is no doubt we’ll revisit the other recipes introduced, but let’s start by looking at one of the earlier recipes, the fruit muffin. Your sim is able to make a few different kinds of fruit muffins but we will be focusing on the cherry muffin. Every time cherry season comes around I get really excited. I adore these little fruits. They are so juicy and tasty that I can’t get enough of them. Let’s take a look at this easy cherry muffin recipe.
Required Equipment: bowl, whisk, muffin tin
Ingredients:
1 ¼ cup fresh cherries, pitted and quartered
2 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
½ cup sugar
8 tbsp butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp almond extract
½ cup plain yogurt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 375℉. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a smaller bowl combine the sugar, butter, almond extract, yogurt and eggs.
Add the wet mixed ingredients to the dry ingredients. Make sure not to over mix! Since the resulting mixture will be very thick, slowly add the milk to thin it out a bit. Fold in the cherries.
Spray a muffin tin with nonstick spray. Spoon the batter into the tin and bake for 18-20 minutes or until done.
