Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Whisk until the sugar has dissolved and then bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and strain into an airtight container. Once cooled, cover and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
In a mug, brew the white tea with hot water. Stir in the spiced syrup, rye whiskey, and orange juice. Stir until the syrup dissolves. Add the ground cinnamon. Enjoy with friends and consider a nap afterwards!
