It has been a long while since I’ve booted up Starbound but recently I got an itch to go planet exploring. I figured since it was so long since I last played, I would start fresh. The first night I booted up the game, I found myself accidentally playing until midnight. I’ve been enjoying taking a look at a game and its minor updates since I last played it over a year ago. It still does an amazing job of filling my need to go around and explore. I’m currently in the process of upgrading my ship. Once that is done, I will be taking a look at settling on a planet and building up a little city.
While exploring the galaxy, you’ll find yourself jumping from hot to cold universes. For those low temperature planets, you will need to make something to keep yourself warm. With the combination of coffee and hot chocolate, the mochaccino is the perfect answer. Sure, summer is just around the corner, but I’m a sucker for hot chocolate. I’m typically not a coffee drinker but this drink does a good job of giving a hint of coffee and not being too overpowering. If you aren’t much of a coffee drinker, I would recommend swapping the amount of milk and coffee in the drink.
Ingredients:
1 cup of brewed coffee
½ cup milk
1 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
1 to 2.5 oz dark chocolate, chopped
1 tbsp godiva liqueur (optional)
whipped cream
Combine the milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a light simmer and add the chocolate chips, add 1 oz at a time to balance the chocolate level in your drink. I like my drink to be extremely chocolaty so I put the full amount. If you just want a slight flavoring of chocolate reduce the total added to the milk mixture.
In a cup, combine the hot chocolate milk, coffee, and godiva liqueur (optional). Top with whipped cream.

Yikes – this is WAY too much chocolate for a single cup. Gave me an upset stomach. The method of preparation is good, but I’d cut the chocolate down to about 1/3 of what’s listed here. I’ll give it another try sometime with only a fraction of the chocolate – I think it could be very good if better balanced.

Oh thanks for the heads up and sorry about the upset stomach.
I typically like my stuff extremely chocolaty. This recipe reminded me of a drink I purchased in New York City once. I will edit the recipe to give a range so people can decide how much chocolate to put in.
