Monster Hunter World was my first experience with the series and I really enjoyed it. I got to play with Jeff and several of our friends. In the beginning, I didn’t think the game was too difficult and was surprised by how easily we were dealing with the hunts. That was true until I met my best friend Diablos. This was the first fight that Jeff and I had to attempt twice before clearing for the first time. It took a little bit for me to understand his attack patterns and understand when to dodge out of the way. Diablos was also one of the first optional tempered hunts Jeff and I attempted. It was honestly one of the most stressful situations in the game because we both passed out once and had one remaining failure pretty early in the attempt. We somehow managed to get him but I was so focused I don’t think I blinked during the remainder of that fight.
My character primarily used a bow, so stamina was a very important resource for me. Once I learned that there was a drink called Dash Juice that quickly restored my stamina, it became my favorite item in the game. I also used a skill called wide range which let my consumed items affect all my teammates, so it was drinking dash juice all the time. Eventually, we all decided that my character had an addiction to the drink and could not get enough of the stuff. Now that I have a real life version, I’m going to get hooked on it just like my character. This drink is both delicious and will help replenish your electrolytes thanks to the coconut water.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
½ cup sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp grated ginger
1 tsp lemon zest
2 cups coconut water
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup fresh lime juice
⅓ cup fresh orange juice
Combine the water, sugar, salt, grated ginger, and powder ginger in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Heat until the sugar dissolves and just comes to a simmer.
Transfer into a large pitcher. Combine with the remaining ingredients and place in the refrigerator to cool completely, about an hour. Make sure to shake before serving. Enjoy a glass just before your next big hunt.
Dash Juice

Delicious and super duper zesty! I have made this a few times now. Makes for a great breakfast drink. Definitely recommend getting a hold of fresh ginger for the flavour.
