It is a new year and everyone is looking for ways to be a little bit healthier. I actually started getting healthier a bit early when I picked up Ring Fit a month ago.. I have been trying to use the system at least 3 times a week and so far so good. In order to fit this into my normally busy week, I’m waking up at 5:30 and starting my day with at least 15 minutes of exercise with Ring Fit Adventure. I was definitely sore the day after the first time I played. Since then, I’ve been feeling small gains with the muscles I target during a workout session. I’m not looking for the most intense workouts (I leave that to my weekend DDR sessions) and Ring Fit Adventure has been perfect for that. I can see myself keeping up this routine for a bit because it has been extremely enjoyable and motivating.
One mechanic in the game lets your character drink a variety of smoothies in order to boost their stats. When I got my hands on the Sesame Smoothie, I knew that would be the first recipe I recreate from the game. Sesame is a flavor that I have fallen in love with. Tahini is roasted and ground sesame seeds. I figured it would be easier to get a smooth texture for the smoothie by using this rather than whole sesame seeds. If you are unable to find tahini, there are plenty of resources online to help you make your own. You’ll just need sesame seeds and neutral flavored oil.
