Dragon Quest Builders 2 was my biggest surprise game of last year. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing through it and highly recommend it. I would lose track of time going around islands, gathering resources, and improving my main island. One of the main things I wanted to make sure I had set up was a good farming system. I got all the seeds and planted them into nice large fields. I also went around and found all the animals I could tame. Now my island is filled with ingredients to make any recipe I would like. I also was able to set up an extremely large kitchen so several recipes could be queued up at once. Of course, food was my main focus when it came to setting up the perfect island for my builder!
The Digger’s Jigger is a drink that you learn on the island of Khrumbul-Dun. The miners of this island can’t get enough of this stuff after a hard day of work. After learning how to improve your crafting tools, you’ll eventually be able to create the Divine Digger’s Jigger, which requires 3 fruits to make. The end result is a wonderfully delicious cocktail that really masks the alcohol, so please be careful about how much you consume. This recipe will take a few days of planning ahead but once you infuse the vodka, it can be stored for a long time. The lemonade on the other hand does have a shorter shelf life. If you are wanting to avoid the alcohol completely, the lemonade itself is extremely delicious and I found myself drinking a lot of it. Time to gather up your tools and ingredients, let’s craft a Divine Digger’s Jigger.

Berry Infused Vodka
10 strawberries
10 raspberries
1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped
2 cups vodka
Berry Lemonade
Simple Syrup
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
Berry Mixture
10 strawberries
10 raspberries
½ cup water
½ cup lemon juice
2 – 3 cups water
Per Drink
8 oz berry lemonade
3 oz berry vodka
1 oz grenadine
ice
Combine 10 strawberries, 10 raspberries, and vodka in a sealable container. Place in a refrigerator for 3-5 days. This will allow the berries to infuse into the vodka. After the allowed time to rest, remove the fruit and add the vanilla seeds. Keep refrigerated until you are ready to use.
Combine ½ cup of water and sugar in a saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Whisk until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the syrup from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
Place the strawberries, raspberries, and water in a blender and pulse until smooth.
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, berry mixture, simple syrup, and water. Taste and determine if you want to add additional water. Keep refrigerated until you are ready to use. Can be stored for up to 1 week.
To make a digger’s jigger, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the berry lemonade, berry vodka, and grenadine. Cover and shake for 10 seconds. Pour the mixture from the shaker (do not include the ice) into a large glass.

Do you still need to make the simple syrup if you’re not going to make it alcoholic? Also for clarification, when you take the fruit out do they stay in the fridge too?, it just says to remove the fruit never says put them back in the fridge afterwards. Also how long do you recommend they stay in the fridge a few days at best?

If you are not going to make it alcoholic just skip the berry infused vodka. You’ll want the simple syrup for the berry lemonade because it adds a sweetness to that base.
For the berry infused vodka – I just removed the fruit and ate them. If you want to keep them for later I’d recommend refrigerating them in an airtight container and they could store for at most a couple days.
