I have never played The World Ends With You, but I have gotten to experience the game by watching Jeff play through it. He is currently making his way through NEO: The World Ends With You and I’ve found it all pretty interesting. The one thing that always really stands out in this series is the amazing music in the game. I could be working on recipes in the kitchen and I’ll just be grooving to the music as he plays. I’ve found several of the songs get stuck in my head pretty easily and it’ll stick in there for hours. This isn’t a bad thing at all! Even if you don’t have time to play the game, I highly recommend checking out the soundtrack.
Food plays a very important role in NEO: The World Ends With You. Food helps boost stats by all your party members. Each person will have particular likes and dislikes from each of the shops. Your team will also only eat if your hunger meter is not maxed out. The hunger meter will only decrease after a good workout, meaning you fight in several battles. Now the more important thing is how beautifully drawn the food art is. The moment Jeff walked into a shop I nearly yelled in excitement about all the future recipes I would be making.
This week we are going to start with one of the easier recipes in the game, Avocado Toast from Vegelovers. As the name hints, all of the recipes at this location are vegetarian. I’ve had many avocado toasts in my time but this one really was a fun little spin on it. I’ve never really thought of including mayo but it does make this a wonderfully creamy meal. If you want to pop this recipe even further beyond what the game suggests, top with a fried egg and then you have the perfect breakfast.
