Hello, I am Victoria Rosenthal! I am the author behind the official Destiny, Fallout, and Street Fighter Cookbook and this video game themed food blog, Pixelated Provisions. I develop recipes of food, drinks, and all sorts of consumables found throughout many video games worlds. My goal with Pixelated Provisions is to inspire my fellow gamers to get in the kitchen and make delicious meals from the games they love playing.
Food and video games have been a very important part of my life. I had to combine these loves in some way. What better way than recreating foods found in video games? Food is a very important part of my life. Cooking is a very calming and enjoyable daily activity for me. I am a self-taught home cook and love to experiment and research new methods of cooking meals.
I have been playing video games all my life. Growing up my father was tech savvy and would get the latest computer games. Video games were one of the ways we would hang out, from him just watching me play games like Marathon and Diablo or the family setting up a few computers together and playing a few rounds of Warcraft and Unreal Tournament. A few of my favorite games of all time would include the Yakuza Series, Persona 4, Tales of Vesperia, Dragon Quest XI, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Dance Dance Revolution.
Besides food and video games – I enjoy board games, adventures with my silly corgi, Kanji, and watching and reading my favorite anime/manga series (One Piece, Dragon Ball, The Promised Neverland, Mob Pyscho 100, The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō), Fruits Basket, and Fullmetal Alchemist).
