Last week, Stardew Valley reached the impressive benchmark of selling 10 million copies. I want to give a huge congratulations to ConcernedApe. The game is amazing and I’m happy to see so many people feel the same. The hard work put into this game deserves all the success it has received. I’ve been playing Stardew Valley for the past few weeks. We are currently in Year 2 and our farm is booming. The amount of crops we are able to harvest each season is wild and we just keep upgrading away. We just recently started converting our grown fruit to become matured wine. This process does take a while but the profit you get from them is incredible. Once we have our first batch done, we will be able to expand any part of the farm we want and all have a full set of iridium tools.
All the townsfolk in Stardew Valley are wonderful and being able to interact with them is one of the many charms of the game. Evelyn is one of the oldest and sweetest members of the community. She gives you permission to call her granny. As your friendship grows, she will share with you her recipe for cookies. The description on them is that they are very chewy and contain flour, sugar, and an egg. The addition of oatmeal allows these cookies to be wonderfully chewy. I wanted to push these and added dried cranberries because her husband George celebrates a Fall birthday. With all those flavors I think this recipe is something Evelyn would be proud of.
Ingredients:
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
⅓ cup maple syrup
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp almond extract
2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
3 cups rolled oats
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 ¼ cup white chocolate chips
1 cup dried cranberries
¾ cup macadamia nuts
Preheat oven to 325°F. Place macadamia nuts on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Set aside to cool. Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, place the butter and mix until smooth. Add the sugars to the butter and mix until smooth. Add the maple syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
Slowly mix in the flour mixture until it just comes together. Add the white chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and macadamia nuts and fold until mixed well.
Take about 2 tablespoons of the dough at a time, place on a baking sheet and press down slightly into a cookie shape. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place in the oven to bake for 16-19 minutes. Makes about 30 cookies.

I have a surplus of dried cranberries. These have to happen. Looking forward to it.
