The latest game pack, Dine Out, was released last week for The Sims 4. This game pack is all about food and I’m excited to play it. If your sim doesn’t feel like cooking, you can visit a local restaurant. You can even build and run your own restaurant if the feeling suits your sim! As always, when a new pack comes out, I find myself looking at all the delicious foods my sim can make. I figured it was time to get cracking and make one of these delicious treats to enjoy while I’m playing. This time, I decided to take a swing at some chocolate biscotti. These delicious cookies are going to be very crunchy! I enjoy serving these with either a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
⅔ cup sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp melted butter, cooled
1 ⅓ cup all purpose flour
⅓ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
½ cup sliced almonds
½ cup dried cherries
Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar. Add the cooled, melted butter and vanilla extract.
In a small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. If you are using a stand mixer I recommend using a dough hook because this with be very thick. Mix until all the ingredients have combined.
Fold in the chopped chocolate, almonds and dried cherries.
Take the dough and roll it out into a log. Place on a baking sheet and press down to flatten it. Bake for 30-35 minutes (or until it firms up).
Take out the cookie and let it cool for 15 minutes. Reduce the heat of the oven to 325°F.
Cut the cookie into ½ inch thick slices. Lay them flat on a cookie tray. Bake for 10 minutes. Flip and bake for 5 minutes.
